Westside Striders

The Westside Striders youth track club is developed as a youth outreach program to help children realize their running potential. The mission of the club is for kids to obtain a sense of achievement, while teaching them discipline and gaining respect from their peers. The club is coached and supervised Coach Leslie Wright, a 1980 graduate of Bennett High School and a 1999 inductee of the Salisbury University Athletic Hall of Fame for his achievements in track and cross country.

• Practice is held a couple times a week in the spring and summer months
• Opportunity to travel to near by track events
• Participate in the local Hershey Track Meet
• Coached and supervised by volunteers
• Fundraisers and sponsors are used to keep the fee free to participants
