Westside Striders Track Club | Wicomico County Recreation, Parks & Tourism

Westside Striders

The Westside Striders youth track club is developed as a youth outreach program to help children realize their running potential. The mission of the club is for kids to obtain a sense of achievement, while teaching them discipline and gaining respect from their peers. The club is coached and supervised Coach Leslie Wright, a 1980 graduate of Bennett High School and a 1999 inductee of the Salisbury University Athletic Hall of Fame for his achievements in track and cross country.

Practice is held a couple times a week in the spring and summer months
Opportunity to travel to near by track events
Participate in the local Hershey Track Meet
Coached and supervised by volunteers
Fundraisers and sponsors are used to keep the fee free to participants

Dock Daze – Save the Date May 19-20th

This 2-day celebration of Eastern Shore food, artwork, maritime tradition and the great outdoors will bring diving dogs, docking boats, live music and plenty of other exciting outdoor and nautical activities to Cedar Hill Marina in Bivalve, Maryland. Kick off your summer with Adult Kickball. The cornerstone of our Social Recreation series, Adult Kickball is a great break from the work week to exercise and have fun in a social sports setting. With our motto, “We don’t care who comes in first, but we do care if you have fun,” this program creates a unique recreational opportunity where participants can meet new people and socialize with family, friends and colleagues in a relaxed atmosphere.
