Sports Camps

We offer a number of different sport camps throughout the summer months each year. We are sure to have the camp just for you.

Gym Rats Basketball Camp

Camp is directed by Salisbury University Men's Basketball Coach, Josh Merkel and current and former college coaches and players. This camp will introduce the game of Basketball in a fun, non-competitive environment. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt. Modified nets and smaller basketballs will be used.

·        Age Group: Boy & Girls, Ages 4 - 11 years old

·        Program Fee: $75

·        Date: June 18 - 22

·        Times:

o   Ages 4 - 7, 10:30am - 12noon

o   Ages 8 - 11, 1pm - 2:30pm

·        Location: TBD

Shore Stick Field Hockey Camp

Camp is directed by Salisbury University Field Hockey Coach Dawn Chamberlin and Salisbury University players. Each camper will receive a souvenir camp T-shirt. Campers will need to wear shin guards and mouth guards in order to participate and will need to bring a packed lunch Monday through Thursday. The recreation department has field hockey sticks for those who do not have their own.

·        Age Group: Girls 3rd grade to graduating seniors

·        Program Fee: $165

·        Times: 9 am to 3 pm Monday – Thursday, & 9 am – 12 noon Friday

·        Date: July 16 - 20

·        Location: Henry Parker Athletic Complex

Margie Knight Volleyball Camp

Camp is directed by Salisbury University Volleyball Coach Margie Knight and Salisbury University players. This is a great camp for girls looking to improve their skills and get a jump start on their season. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt and souvenir Ball. Campers are required to wear knee pads.

·        Age Group: Girls ages 12 to 17

·        Program Fee: $160

·        Date: July 30 - August 3

·        Times: 9 am to 12 noon

·        Location: Maggs Gymnasium

Josh Merkel's Fastbreak Basketball Camp

Camp is directed by Salisbury University Men's Basketball Coach, Josh Merkel and staff including current and former college coaches and players.  the daily schedule consists of teaching stations, skill development, games, and contests.  While teaching basketball, we reinforce the importance of a positive attitude, teamwork, and FUN! This high energy camp will introduce, strengthen, and build basketball fundamentals and skills. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt. Campers will need to bring a packed lunch or will have the option of purchasing pizza by the slice.

·        Age Group: Boys & Girls, Ages 8 - 17 years old

·        Program Fees: $175

·        Date: Monday - Thursday, August 6 - 9

·        Times: 9am - 3pm

·        Location: Maggs Gymnasium at Salisbury University

Shore Slam Tennis Camp

Coach Nicole White and her staff will help campers develop and improve their skills through station activities and drills. Campers will participate in other fun activities and games. Everyone must have their own racket and each child will receive a camp T-shirt.

·        Date: August 6 - 10

·        Times: 9am – 12 noon

·        Location: Parkside High School Tennis Courts

Oh-My-Cheer Camp

Oh-My-Cheer Camp is brought to you by an experienced staff. Coach Toni Eller has over 15 years of coaching experience on both the High School and Collegiate levels. Girls do not need to be Cheerleaders, just interested in trying it out. Girls will be grouped and matched up according to age and skill level.

·        Age Group: Girls ages 3 & up

·        Program Fees: $65

·        Date: Saturday, August 11 & Sunday, August 12

·        Times: 10:00am - 2:00pm

·        Location: Wicomico Youth & Civic Center

British Soccer Camp

British Soccer Camp is brought to you by Challenger Sports, providers of the USA's most popular soccer camp program. All camps feature: All British Coaching Staff, Free Camp T-Shirt, Fee Soccer Ball, Free Soccer Poster, Individual Sills Assessment, and Daily World Cup Tournament. Campers will need to wear shin guards in order to participate. Cleats are not required but are recommended for the older players. Registration is recommended at www.challengersports.com

§  Age Group: Girls and Boys ages 4 & 5 years old

§  Times: 10:15 AM - 11:45 AM

o   Half-Day Camp

§  Age Group: Girls and Boys ages 6 - 14 years old

§  Program Fee: $131.00

§  Times: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

o   Full-Day Camp

§  Age Group: Girls and Boys ages 10 - 14 years old

§  Program Fee: $190.00

§  Times: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
