Youth Soccer

Lace up those cleats and let’s play soccer. Wicomico County Recreation & Parks is proud to offer youth soccer leagues in the fall and spring for girls and boys beginning at age 3 all the way up to 17 years of age. Soccer players and teams of all levels, experience, and skills are welcomed.

Volunteers Needed: Volunteer coaches, team and league sponsors, and referees are needed.

Fall Soccer Individuals 

Early Registration Day at Dick's Sporting Goods - Saturday May 18, 2013 - 11am-2pm - Registration on this day and received a $5 discount!

• Individual Registration: May to August 8, 2013. After August 8, 2013 please check for availability.  Players will be contacted by a coach in mid to late August
• Program Fee: $58 - After August 8, 2013 there will be a $5 late fee
• Scholarships are Available: - Contact program director for more information
• Age Group: Girls and boys ages 3 – 18 years of age (Based on age as of August 1)
  • Dribblers age 3 (more details below)
  • Squirts U6 ages 4 and 5 (more details below)
  • U8 ages 6 & 7
  • U10 ages 8 & 9
  • U12 ages 10 & 11
  • U14 ages 12 & 13
  • U16 ages 14 & 15
  • U18 ages 16 & 17
• Date(s): Season begins September 7 (12 game season)
• Time(s): Games are played twice a week, one weeknight and one Saturday
• Location(s): Henry Parker Complex, Fruitland, Hebron, Delmar, Cedar Hill Park, Gene Lowe Park, Cope Bennett, Eastside
• Details: Players are placed on teams according to where they attend school or the neighborhood that they live in. Team jerseys are provided.  Participants must wear shin guards in order to participate. Players may play up a division, but are not permitted to play down. Each team will be required to play the referee fees on the field before each game. All divisions play 8 vs 8 on a 60' x 75' field.

• Team Registration: May 21 to August 16.
• Program Fee: $395 per team
• Age Group: Girls and boys ages 6 – 17 years of age (Based on age as of August 1)

  • U10 ages 8 & 9
  • U12 ages 10 & 11
  • U14 ages 12 & 13
  • U16 ages 14 & 15
  • U18 ages 16 & 17
• Date(s): Season begins September 7 (12 game season)
• Time(s): Games are played twice a week, one weeknight and one Saturday

Dribbler’s & Squirts Fall Soccer Program

• Age Group: 3 year olds and Under 6 for 4 & 5 year olds
• Registration: Open until August 23, 2013
• Program Fee: $58 per player - $5 late fee after August 23, 2013
• Scholarships are Available: Contact Program Director for more information
• Time(s): Every Saturday 9am or 10am
• Location(s): Henry Parker Athletic Complex
• Date(s): Once a week for 8 weeks
• Details: Players are placed on teams according to their neighborhood. Each participant receives a team shirt and soccer ball. Each week activities will include; warm-up, individual activity, game play, cool down, homework. Participants must wear shin guards in order to participate.

• Date(s): April 14 - June 16, Tournament June 22 & 23
• Time(s): Sunday afternoons
• Details: 8 vs 8 format with an 8-game season with an end of the season tournament. Team entry league only and each team must provide their own uniforms/jerseys. Participants must wear shin guards in order to participate. Players may play up a division, but are not permitted to play down. Each team will be required to play the referee fees on the field before each game.
