Confirmed Opt-In is a process by which email addresses are subscribed to a mailing list only after careful measures have been taken to ensure that the owner of the email address actually wishes to be added to the mailing list. Confirmed Opt-In is sometimes also referred to by other names, such as Verified-Opt-In.
When you sign up for our mailing lists at our subscription page, you will shortly receive an email ASKING you to click a link to VERIFY that this email address wishes to subscribe. If you do not click the link, you will not be subscribed, you will not receive our mailings and . . . after a period of time, usually once a month at the end of the month, the subscription request will be deleted from our database. Of course, at that point, the links in the email you received will not work, since your subscription request is no longer in our database. Basically, we figure that if you haven't confirmed your email address in 30 days, then you do not wish to subscribe.
We will send you ONE reminder that you requested to be added, after which your subscription request will be deleted at our next monthly cleanup.
